Instead of going full fledge Christmas blitz, I thought we'd ease into the holidays this year. A bit of Christmas music, mixed in with some Country Classics. On the next Rockin' Randall Classic Country Show, we'll continue our holiday season featuring "Christmas with Garth and Trisha". Garth Brooks first Christmas album, "Beyond the Season" was released on August 25, 1992, and was certified triple platinum in 1995. "Garth Brooks & the Magic of Christmas" came out in 1999. It never topped the popularity of his first seasonal offering. Trisha Yearwood released her only solo Christmas album, "The Sweetest Gift" in September 1994. The album featured two singles that reached the Top 100 by Christmas time of '94. In 2018, Garth and Trisha teamed up for a wonderful Christmas album titled "Christmas Together", featuring some holiday classics and some brand-new material too. Saturday's program will feature songs from all of these albums as we celebrate "Christmas with Garth and Trisha" on the Rockin' Randall Show. Join me Saturday morning from 6-9 for Classic Country by request on 91.7 WHCP-A Great Place to Be and Music Discovery/NPR for the Mid-Shore. Tonight on Shore Stories:A couple of weeks ago Dr, Casey Scott on Part one of Anti Obesity Meds, discussed the older medicines that are still on the market and being used. This week she’ll talk about some of the lesser known ones, including one available over the counter. She’ll also discuss eligibility and cost. Then on a two segment series we’ll spend time with Rabbi Peter Hyman, recently retired as the spiritual leader of Temple Bnai Israel in Easton. I am so grateful to know him. Listen in to find out why he’s been so admired and how much he will be missed. It all starts at 6:30PM. Talk to me. Who would you like to know more about? val@whcp.org.
