"Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" was the final episode of M*A*S*H. The episode aired on February 28, 1983, and broke the record for the highest percentage of homes (125 million viewers) to watch a television series. ![]()
Also in 1983, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton took a song that was written by Barry Gibb of The Bee Gees and made it into a huge hit. "Islands In The Stream" turned out to be Billboard's Country Song of the entire year. ![]()

The Blood Bank is prioritizing platelets and type O negative red cells in their call for support from the community. The inventory of these blood products has dropped along with their supply of B negative red cells. They have increased their available appointments to collect more blood and rebuild their inventory![]()
