Important news from Blackwater Refuge!Attention Visitors! Please note the following dates when a majority of the Wildlife Drive will be closed for deer management hunts: October 19, October 20, and December 1, 2023, and January 5, 2024. The Pool 5 loop on the west end of the Wildlife Drive will remain open free-of-charge on these dates. Visitors can enter the Drive about ¼ mile west of the Visitor Center and exit at Route 335. For a full listing of areas that will be periodically closed for hunts, visit our website at www.fws.gov/refuge/blackwater.
