WHCP-LP has captured the culture and spirit of Maryland’s Mid-Shore region since 2015. More than 80% of our content is locally produced, from music programs to talk shows and local news and public affairs. These days, that’s a rarity on the radio dial.
Now we are poised to grow. WHCP-LP is planning a move from a low-power station reaching 10 miles around Cambridge to a more powerful station reaching all of Dorchester, most of Talbot and other counties on Maryland’s Mid-Shore.
WHCP-FM will be the best of WHCP-LP and more, providing information and inspiration that helps Maryland’s Mid-Shore flourish. Another plus will be adding content such as National Public Radio (NPR) programs.
But we can’t do this without your support. We’ll need a new antenna, transmitter, equipment and facilities to make this happen for Cambridge and the greater Mid-Shore.
