September 29, 2022 – For decades, Globe Poster created iconic concert posters for a who’s who of African-American music: from Muddy Waters and James Brown to Aretha Franklin and Tupac Shakur. The Baltimore-based letterpress company went out of business in 2010 but has thrived since partnering with a local art school. See It Loud documents Globe’s impressive legacy and inspiring resurrection and features interviews with fans such as filmmaker John Waters, acclaimed bluesman Bobby Rush, soul legend Solomon Burke, Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne, and others. This feature-length film illustrates how something old can become new again, with an infusion of new ideas and fresh energy.

Today is Thursday October the 17th and tonight at 6:30 on Shore Stories: Most of us know Gayle Galbraith as the entrepreneur behind Federal Brewing Kombucha, but Gayle is also a huge health advocate. She'll discuss the gut and mental health connection and also about the growing trend toward people choosing an alcohol free lifestyle. Then Lynn Randle on Shore Seniors speaks to YMCA’s Wendy Palmer about the programs at the Y dedicated to the more mature population. Lastly we had such a fun response to Rich Bower with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation a couple of week’s ago that we’re re-running his interview with Drew Sheckler. Hear his take on the invasive species in our water and listen to the two songs he’s written in their quote unquote honor.
